Seventh place on the global weekend chart
Deadline reported on August 18 that China's "All Wishes Come True" bowed stateside with US$311,000 and took another US$12.65 million offshore — largely from China, but also including Australia, the U.K. and the Netherlands — for a US$12.96 million global weekend in seventh place and a running cume of US$233.8 million worldwide.[1]
The update was led by "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", which crossed US$2 billion worldwide in 17 days, and Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey", whose China opening of US$36.3 million ranked second in the market behind local film "Once Upon a Time in the Middle East" (US$66.7 million weekend, US$130.3 million running total).[1]
