North American premiere held in Los Angeles; film opens across the US and Canada

All Wishes Come True! held its North American premiere in Los Angeles on the evening of August 13, 2026, ahead of its theatrical release across the United States and Canada on August 14, Xinhua reported; CMC Pictures is releasing the film in Mandarin with English subtitles in more than 100 selected theaters across North America.

Xinhua reported on August 14 that the Chinese animated fantasy-comedy held its North American premiere on Thursday night in Los Angeles, ahead of its theatrical release across the United States and Canada on Friday; the film is written and directed by Mu Zhengyang, with voice direction by Chen Hao, whose credits include Ne Zha and Ne Zha 2.[1]

Songwriter and content creator Hannah Avison gave the film a perfect 10 out of 10 after attending the premiere, telling Xinhua: "The animation was beautiful. It was a beautiful story... I never knew what to expect. I was constantly on the edge of my seat." Hollywood actor and producer John Kyle Sutton said he "was engaged the entire time," adding: "I do think movies like this can attract U.S. audiences and inspire them to learn more about Chinese culture."[1]

Released by CMC Pictures in 100+ theaters

According to Xinhua, the film is being released by CMC Pictures in Mandarin with English subtitles in more than 100 selected theaters across Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto, Vancouver, and dozens of other North American cities with large Chinese communities.[1]
