China box office passes CN¥1.5 billion

Xinhua reported on August 14 that the film has grossed more than CN¥1.51 billion (reported as US$224 million) at China's domestic box office as of that day, according to Maoyan, a Chinese movie-ticketing and film data platform, describing it as a box-office hit this summer with both critical acclaim and commercial success.[1]
